By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2.1 Information you provide
- Account: name, email, phone number, password or sign-in with Apple/Google, profile photo (optional), role (customer or driver).
- Bookings: service type, vehicle information, notes, pickup/dropoff locations, photos (for example: completion proof uploaded by Providers).
- Payments: payment method tokens and billing details are handled by Stripe; we receive limited data (last four digits, brand, transaction IDs, amounts).
- Driver onboarding: government ID and document images, insurance and registration, payout identity and bank details (via Stripe Connect), date of birth and address where required for payouts.
- Communications: in-app job messages, support emails, ratings, tips, incident reports.
- Trusted contacts (optional): names and phone numbers you choose for safety sharing during active jobs.
- Referrals and partners: referral codes, partner attribution (
partnerlink parameters), beta sign-ups.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Precise location: when you grant permission—used for dispatch, ETAs, live tracking during active jobs, driver availability, and launch-area eligibility. Background location may be used for Providers while online or on an active job, as disclosed in the app and iOS permission prompts.
- Device and app data: device type, OS version, app version, language, push notification tokens, crash logs.
- Usage and analytics: screens viewed, buttons tapped, conversion events (for example: booking started, job completed), timestamps—via Firebase Analytics and similar tools.
- Diagnostics: error and performance data via Sentry (and Apple crash reports).
- Approximate network: IP address, carrier (from network APIs where available).
2.3 Information from third parties
- Sign-in providers (Apple, Google): basic profile per your settings.
- Stripe: payment status, Connect account status, payout events.
- Maps (Mapbox): routing and map display; location sent to Mapbox to calculate routes when you use map features.
- Supabase / cloud host: authentication and database services for account and job data.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
| Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|
| Provide the Service | Create accounts, match jobs, show ETAs, process payments and tips |
| Safety and trust | Verify Provider documents, investigate incidents, fraud prevention |
| Support | Respond to questions, refunds, disputes |
| Improve the product | Analytics, debugging, A/B features |
| Legal | Comply with law, respond to lawful requests |
| Marketing (limited) | With consent where required—referral programs, partner offers |
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not use precise location for third-party advertising unrelated to an active job, except as allowed by your device settings (see Section 8 on tracking).
4. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Providers and customers involved in a job (for example: first name, vehicle, location, phone when needed to complete service).
- Payment processors (Stripe) to charge customers and pay Providers.
- Service providers who help us operate (hosting, analytics, crash reporting, email, push notifications)—under confidentiality obligations.
- Partners you were referred by (aggregated or attributed job counts where applicable under partner agreements).
- Law enforcement or others when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers if we merge, sell assets, or reorganize (successor bound by this Policy).
We may share de-identified or aggregated statistics (for example: jobs per week in Orlando) that do not identify you.
5. Data retention
We keep information as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with law (tax, payment, dispute records), resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Typical examples:
- Active account data: while your account is open.
- Job and payment records: several years where required for finance and legal compliance.
- Driver documents: through verification period plus legal retention.
- Analytics logs: per vendor default retention (often months).
You may request deletion subject to Section 7.
6. Security
We use technical and organizational measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and secure credential storage (for example: session tokens in Keychain on iOS). No system is 100% secure; report concerns to support@tryrouteapp.net.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (including Florida and other U.S. states with privacy laws), you may have rights to:
- Access a copy of personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate data in the app or by contacting us;
- Delete your account and associated data (subject to legal exceptions);
- Opt out of certain analytics or marketing;
- Withdraw location permission in iOS Settings (may limit features).
California / other state rights: We do not “sell” personal information as defined by CCPA/CPRA. We may use analytics that qualify as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising only if you consent via App Tracking Transparency on iOS; you can deny tracking in Settings.
To exercise rights, email support@tryrouteapp.net with the email tied to your account. We may verify your identity before responding.
8. Tracking and advertising
On iOS, we may ask permission to track activity across other companies' apps and websites for analytics and marketing measurement (see NSUserTrackingUsageDescription in the app). If you deny tracking, we still collect data needed for the Service but limit cross-app advertising identifiers as Apple permits.
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect data from children. Contact us to delete data if you believe a child provided it.
10. International users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information may be processed in the U.S. where laws may differ.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. We will post the new date and provide in-app or email notice when required. Continued use means acceptance of the updated Policy.
