Cookie Policy
Last updated · May 18, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Route Technologies LLC (“Roūte,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on tryrouteapp.net and related marketing pages (the “Site”). It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
The Roūte iOS app does not use browser cookies; it uses device identifiers, local storage, and SDKs as described in the Privacy Policy. This Policy focuses on the website.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device. Similar technologies include pixels, local storage, session storage, and software development kits (SDKs) on web pages.
They help sites function, remember preferences, measure traffic, and (with consent where required) support marketing.
2. How we use cookies
| Category | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Security, load balancing, session continuity, form submission | Session or up to 12 months |
| Functional | Remember preferences (language, region) | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Understand visits, pages viewed, referrers (e.g. Google Analytics / Firebase web) | Up to 24 months |
| Marketing (if enabled) | Measure ad campaigns, attribution | Per vendor, often 90 days–24 months |
We do not use cookies on the Site to sell your personal information.
3. Cookies we may use
Exact names change as we update the Site. Examples:
3.1 First-party (Roūte)
- Session / authentication cookies for partner portals or admin (if deployed)
- Cookie consent preference storage
- A/B test assignment (if used)
3.2 Third-party
- Google Analytics / Firebase — usage measurement
- Stripe — fraud prevention on payment pages (if you pay on web)
- Hosting / CDN (e.g. Lovable, Vercel, Cloudflare) — performance and security
- Embedded maps (if any) — may set their own cookies per provider policy
We link to third-party privacy policies where required.
4. Your choices
4.1 Browser controls
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Site.
4.2 Consent banner (where required)
If we show a cookie banner in your region, you can accept or reject non-essential cookies. You may change choices via Cookie settings on the Site footer (when available).
4.3 Do Not Track
Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. There is no uniform industry standard; we treat DNT as a preference signal where legally required.
4.4 Mobile app
For the Roūte iOS app, manage tracking under Settings → Privacy → Tracking on your iPhone, and review location / notification permissions in the Roūte app and iOS Settings.
5. U.S. state privacy laws
Residents of California and certain other states may have additional rights regarding personal information collected via cookies. See our Privacy Policy Section 7.
6. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes may be highlighted on the Site.
