Cost guide

How much does flat tire service cost?

Short answer

A roadside tire change fits the spare already in your vehicle, so the price covers travel and labour with no parts. If the vehicle has no usable spare, the situation changes entirely — you then need a mobile tire supplier or transport to a tire shop, which costs considerably more.

Emergencies come first. If there is a crash, injury, fire, or you are stopped somewhere unsafe in live traffic, call 911 before requesting roadside assistance.

The two very different scenarios

With a usable spare, this is a short labour job: jack the vehicle, remove the flat, fit the spare, torque the nuts. The price reflects travel and time.

Without a spare, no roadside change is possible. The options become a mobile tire fitter bringing a matching tire, or transporting the vehicle to a shop — both involve a tire purchase and are a different order of cost.

Check your trunk before you assume

  • Many recent vehicles ship with a sealant and inflator kit rather than a spare wheel.
  • Sealant works on small tread punctures only — it does nothing for a sidewall cut or a blowout.
  • Run-flat tires can be driven a limited distance at reduced speed and often have no spare at all.
  • If the vehicle uses locking wheel nuts, the key must be present or the wheel cannot come off.

What else can add cost

Driving on a flat destroys the tire and can damage the wheel and suspension components, turning a change into a repair bill. Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.

A compact spare is temporary. Continuing a trip on it rather than getting to a tire shop risks a second failure, this time with nothing left to fit.

How Roūte prices a tire change

Roūte does not publish a fixed price list on this page because the estimate depends on the request itself. The app calculates the price for your specific job and shows it before anything is dispatched — that figure is the source of truth, and you approve it before a driver is sent.
