Acceptable Use & Community Guidelines

These guidelines apply to everyone who uses Roūte — Customers, Providers, partners, and visitors. Violations may result in warnings, content removal, suspension, permanent deactivation, refusal of refunds, charge of fees and damages, reporting to law enforcement, and civil action.
1. Respect & non-discrimination
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, slurs, or intimidation.
- No discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
- Treat service animals and assistive devices with respect.
2. Safety
- No weapons, violence, threats of violence, or physical contact without consent.
- No operation of vehicles or equipment under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- No use of Roūte during a 911-level emergency — call 911 first.
- No service on active highway lanes that require professional traffic control.
3. Honesty
- No false accounts, identity impersonation, or use of someone else's account.
- No falsified documents, photos, locations, ratings, reviews, or job statuses.
- No requesting service on a vehicle you do not own or lack permission to service.
4. Payments & fee circumvention
- No off-platform payment for jobs sourced through Roūte.
- No friendly fraud, false chargebacks, or false damage claims.
- No price manipulation, collusion, or fraudulent promo / referral use.
5. Privacy & data
- No collecting, storing, or sharing other users' personal information beyond what is needed to complete a job.
- No recording another person without consent where law requires it (some states are two-party consent).
- No use of Customer data for marketing, lead generation, or solicitation.
6. Platform integrity
- No scraping, crawling, reverse engineering, or attempting to access non-public APIs except as law allows.
- No automated tools, bots, or scripts not authorized by Roūte.
- No interference with the Service, security testing without written authorization, or denial-of-service activity.
- No attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
7. Content
- No content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, harassing, infringing, or invasive of privacy.
- No spam, deceptive advertising, or unsolicited commercial messages.
- You grant Roūte a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, and display content you submit to operate and improve the Service.
8. Reporting violations
Email support@tryrouteapp.net with subject "Trust & Safety report" and include the request ID, date/time, names shown in the app, and a description. For imminent danger, call 911.
9. Enforcement
We may investigate, request information, remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, pursue legal remedies, and cooperate with law enforcement. Enforcement decisions are at Roūte's sole discretion and are not appealable except as required by law.
